How to Save Money in Your Las Vegas Trip

When the mega resorts rolled into Las Vegas, the idea of a cheap Vegas vacation became a thing of the past. It may be difficult to find a cheap Vegas vacation, but it is not impossible. Here are a few things to consider in order to save on your Las Vegas Trip:

Weigh the cost difference between flying and driving to Vegas. Sometimes it is cheaper to fly to Vegas if you book your tickets in advance.
Compare rates at different hotels. It is usually cheaper during weekdays. If you can, avoid going to Vegas during weekends.
Frequent buffets and casino food courts rather than restaurants. For buffets, opt to go there during lunch time. It is usually much cheaper.
When in restaurants, avoid ordering soft drinks and bottled water. They may end up costing as much as half your meal. Instead, ask for ice water.
Plan your gambling money. Determine the amount you are going to spend gambling for the day and if you lose all of it, you are done for the day. Try to avoid the 5-cent slot machines. You might think it's a bargain but it really is not!
