Safety Tips When Traveling by Land

Travelling by land can be exciting and fun. You get to experience the country in a whole new way. However, you should not let your guard down. Here some safety tips when travelling by land:

Plan Your Stops – When travelling by land, especially if you are crossing states, it is important to plan you stops ahead of time. Some maps would carry information on where you can find motels or recreational spots. You can also get this info from the internet. Your stops information should also include knowing where the gas stations are, especially if you are driving yourself.
Resist the Hitcher – Some people may not be able to resist taking pity on a hitcher waving at them from the side of the road, but for safety reasons it is often better to just drive on.
Have Your IDs Handy – Having your ids and personal information with you at all times can help you when you get in trouble. You may also be asked for your ID at some hotels and when you are crossing into another country
