What to Bring and Not When Traveling
The tendency for most people is to pack everything they have in their bags when they are travelling. This results in excess luggage that will not only be heavy to haul, but will be expensive to check too – especially in airports and trains. There are, however a few things that are necessary to bring along on a trip and they are:

  • Neutral and Conservative Clothes
  • Extra Pair of Glasses or Contact Lenses
  • Cash (Not Too Much) and Credit Cards (One or two)
  • Extra Passport or Copies of Your Current Passport

With the ‘Need To Do's’ Comes the ‘Nots'. Here are some of the things that shouldn't be brought on travels, especially when travelling abroad:

  • Family heirlooms of any kind
  • Social Security Cards
  • Unnecessary/Extra Credit Cards
  • Excessive Toiletries
  • Every Gadget in Your Arsenal (Bring only the essentials – those that you will actually need)
  • Large Travel Books (They are too heavy, stick to small phrase books if necessary.
  • Flashy Jewelry
  • Your Entire Closet
