Adeje is a city and municipality found in the island of Tenerife, a populous place in the Canary Islands. Adeje is also part of the capital of Canary Is. which is Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Getting there can be accessible due to its location since this city can be located about 10 km North West of Tenerife South Airport, one of the two international airports found in Tenerife.

According to the latest statistics in 2008 by ISTAC, the recent population is 41,002 thus having a density of 387.03/km² and the area is 105.94 km². Adeje is linked with the terminus TF1, also known as "Southern Highway", a superhighway which first opened in the 2000s.

In Adeje, farmlands are a common sight in the valley areas. Most of the forests and grasslands are to be found in Mount Teide, a recently dormant volcano whose last eruption is recorded still in 1909.

For its economy, Adeje depends on business, tourism and agriculture. During the 1990s, people there mainly utilized the agriculture industry making it dominant until now.

The world's first green and largest water park in Europe can also be found in Adeje, the Siam Park. This park is famous for its ProSlide water rides, and it is built on top of a hill which makes most of the slides comparable to riding terrain roller coasters.
