Akumal is located at the heart of Riviera Maya at the south of Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Akumal in Mayan language means "Place of the Turtles".
Rightful to its name, sea turtles are found in Akumal beaches laying their eggs at night and swimming during the day which makes tourists see and observe it closely.
