About Albufeira
Albufeira is a city in the Algrave region and sub-region in Portugal. The name 'Albufeira' originates from the Arabic term, which translates into English as 'The Lagoon'. The area has an estimated population of 35,281 people within a total area of 140.6 sq. km.

The city is one of the leading tourist regions in Portugal, especially during the summer and New Year. During those periods, the population in the city swells to 300,000.
