About Arlington Texas
Arlington is a city in the US state of Texas and is located in Tarrant County. As of a 2007 census estimate, the city approximately has around 371,038 residents. It is the 7th largest city in the State and is the 50th largest city in the Country. It is located about 12 miles east from Fort Worth and around 20 miles west of Dallas. The Texas Ranger's Ball Park is located in the city and it will also be the home of the new Dallas Cowboys stadium. Cities located on the border of Arlington include Kennedale, Mansfield, Grand Prairie, and Fort Worth.

The city is served by the Arlington Municipal Airport. A comprehensive public transport system is also found in the city. This involves several bus transit systems that target demographic based individuals. Two interstate highways serve the city and they are I-20 and the I-30. The I-20 has been renamed the Ronald Regan Memorial Highway and the I-30 was named the Tom Landry Memorial Highway. The Union Pacific Railroad operates a rail route that runs through Arlington.

Sports is a big part of Arlington's culture. It is the home of the Texas Rangers and will be the future home of the Dallas Cowboys as well. Like with the rest of Texas, Friday Night High School football games draw immense fanfare from the locals. Notable athletes that have come from Arlington include Ben Grieve who graduated from the Martin High School, baseball player Vernon Wells, outfielder Hunter Pence, Olympic gold medalist Jeremy Wariner, and Guard Erin of the Houston Comets.
