About Aurora
Aurora is a city located in the state of Colorado. Founded in the 1890s during the silver boom, the city was initially named "Fletcher" after its Canadian developer, Donald Fletcher. Later, however, the town was renamed as "Aurora" after the goddess of dawn in Roman mythology; it was incorporated in 1907.
