About Brampton
Brampton is a city located in the Southern region of Ontario, Canada. It is ranked as the third largest city in area. Its name is culled from a town in Cumbria, England. For half a century, Brampton was labeled as "The Flowertown of Canada" when the greenhouse industry was at its peak. As times inevitably changed, however, so did Brampton's economy. Today, manufacturing companies and food and beverage businesses fuel the city's economy.

Christianity is the dominant religion in the city, with Roman Catholicism as the primary religion; although Islam, Sikhism and Hinduism also manifest a notable presence. The major tourist attraction in the area is "The Rose Theatre," which garden square and Fountain Stage have generated quite an income for the city as businesses have opened up as soon as the facility was inaugurated.

Brampton is a regular in Hollywood's settings list; for example, the opening chase scene in the film, Dawn of the Dead (2004) was filmed in the area. Notable comedians Scott Thompson and Russell Peters, as well as talented actor Michael Cera, were born and raised in Brampton.
