About Brewster
Brewster is known to have settled first as a northeastern parish of Harwich Massachusetts. Later in 1803 Brewster was officially declared as its own town and is established as a historic sea captains town of Cape Cod. The town is 23 square miles with 325 acres of marshlands and beaches with 24 ponds. There were many rich sea captains at Brewster who were responsible on building the stately homes and mansions which now becomes the town's inns and also some bed and breakfast destinations.

In 1985 the town purchases 850 acres of land in order to protect its open space and the quality of its water. One third of Brewster's land is retained for conservation.

Brewster is well known for its award winning drinking water and two nationally recognized 18 holes golf course.

Brewster's population is 9,600 but grows to 25,000 during summer seasons due to tourist coming to enjoy their tourist destinations.
