
Brighton is a resort located on the south coast of the Great Britain and forms the City of Brighton and Hove with its neighbors Portslade and Hove. A reported eight million people visit Brighton each year where the business conference industry is substantial and thriving. The town also has a medical school and a couple of universities.
The landmarks of Brighton include the Royal Pavilion which is a former royal palace that was built during the early 1800s as a home for the Prince Regent. The Royal Pavilion is notable for its Oriental interior design and Indian architecture. The Brighton Marine Palace and Pier, or more commonly referred to as the Brighton Pier features arcade halls, a funfair and restaurants.
The oldest building in Brighton is the 11th Century Saint Nicholas Church which is more commonly known by its nickname as "The Mother Church". Other popular churches in Brighton include the Church of St. Peter and Saint Bartholomew's Church found in the heart of the town. Brighton also offers great beaches and a bustling nightlife and arts and cultural community.
