Burnaby is a city east of Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada. Burnaby is considered the third largest city in the area by population, next to Vancouver and Surrey. It is an increasing integrated community and is located in a rapidly developing metropolitan area. It has shifted from being a rural area to suburban and now to being a largely urbanized area.

Burnaby is home to major waterways and parklands including Still Creek, the Burnaby Lake, the Brunette River, Deer Lake, Central Park, Squint Lake, Kensington Park, Robert Burnaby Park and the Burnaby Mountain. Some of the places to visit while touring Burnaby include the Simon Fraser University, the Burnaby Mountain Park and the Central Park. The Burnaby Mountain Park offers hiking trails, a children's playground and picnic areas while Central Park is home to a pitch and putt golf course, a couple of ponds and an award-winning children's playground.

Tourists can also tour the Burnaby Village Museum and Carousel where urban heritage is on display and the Burnaby Art Gallery and Century Gardens where contemporary and historical artwork in Deer Lake Park are on display.
