Charlottesville, an independent city, is located within Albemarle County in Commonwealth, Virginia. It was named after Queen Charlotte, the wife of Ling George III of the United Kingdom.

It is known as a home of three US presidents, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and James Monroe. It is also where the famous mountain-top home of Jefferson, Monticello, which attracts many tourists. The University of Virginia is also found here. The only university in the world that made the United Nation's World Heritage list with Great Walls of China, the Grand Canyon, and Taj Mahal.
