Christ Church is a parish located on the southern end of Barbados. Its main town is Oistins, known as the major fishing centre. Another famous area in Christ Church is Saint Lawrence Gap, commonly called as "The Gap", is the most dynamic tourist area on the island. It has bars and clubs that are populated by the locals and tourists.
The Christ Church became a strong business area in Barbados, because majority of the hotels and dining areas and other tourist attractions are located within the parish. One great adventure in the place is to have a tour on its lovely beaches. Water sports lovers may enjoy kite and wind surfing at Long Beach, Silver Rock Beach, and Silver Sands located in the island. Aside from the beaches there are two golf courses in the area, the Barbados Golf Club and the Rockley Golf and Country Club.
Christ Church has religious traditions and several historic places and unique churches. One is the Christ Church Parish Church, a famous tour destination because of the "moving coffins" inside of the Chase family vault. Other churches are the St. David's Church and St. Patrick's church.
