Cocoa Beach is a city in Florida, USA; it belongs to Brevard County. It is home to (NASA's) John F. Kennedy Space Center. The city is comprised of a total area of 39 km2 with a large 26.3 km2 portion of it being comprised of water - beaches and rivers. Because of the space center and the waters, the city is known for being able to offer very diverse activities to tourists.
Cocoa Beach is on a barrier island and features attractions that involve water - surfing, swimming, sports fishing, water sports, kayaking, etc. Dolphins can be seen playing off the coast while whales sometimes pass through the area. With its reliable weather and waters, it is also known as the surfing capital - and the home of surfing champions - of the East Coast.
Aside from the attractions, Cocoa Beach also draws tourists because of its annual Art Festival, annual Easter Surfing Festival, and annual Beach Fest.
