About Culver City
Culver City is a city located in western of Los Angeles California. It was founded by Harry Culver in 1913, a real estate developer from Nebraska. It is adjacent to Beverly Hills in the north and Inglewood in the south.

In the 1920s, silent film comedy producers Hal Roach and Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM) built studios. By 1930s Culver City was publicized as the "Heart of Screenland". Now it is also the base of National Public Radio West and Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Many movies have been shot here since. Some of which are the Wizard of Oz, Grease, ET the Extra Terrestrial, Raging Bull, and Contact and some famous television shows like Lassie, I Love Lucy and Jeopardy.

Other attractions in the city aside from the selection of restaurants and shops for dining and shopping include Sony Pictures Museum which collection of motion picture memorabilia are featured, the classical music of the Symphony Orchestra, and the year-round skating at the Culver City Ice Arena.
