Deerfield Beach is a city located in Broward County, in Florida, USA. Deerfield Beach is named after the plentiful deer that once roamed the area and is part of the South Florida metropolitan area. Deerfield Beach has a tropical climate that is characterized by humid, hot summers and dry, warm winters.
As of the year 2000, Deer Beach was reported to have the ninth largest Brazilian population in the United States and the second largest in Florida after North Bay Village.
The points of interest in the area, aside from its wide array of beaches that visitors can choose from, are the Deerfield Beach Arboretum, the Deerfield Island Park, the Deerfield Beach Pier and the Quiet Waters Park.
The Deerfield Beach Arboretum, also referred to as the Tree Zoo, is a botanical garden that covers nine acres. The arboretum contains over 200 species of palms and tree from all over the world. While the garden experienced heavy damages after the Hurricane Wilma in 2005, a lot of trees were restored after five months of repair.
