Delhi, also known as Dilli, is the 2nd biggest city in India and the 6th biggest city in the world by population. There are over 17.3 million people residing the city. Delhi is located on the banks of the River Yamuna in the National Capital Territory of India. Delhi is a major cultural, political, and commercial and trade center of India.
Its archaeological evidence showed that it has been continuously inhabited since 6th century BC. The city is believed to be the location of Indraprastha, legendary capital of the Pandavas in the great Indian epic Mahabharata. The city has been the capital of India from the mythological days.
