About Dublin, Ireland
Dublin, known as the" Town of the Hurdled Ford" has long been known as the main entry point for visitors who want to visit Ireland. Dublin is a very large city and contains a sizable portion of the total population in its suburbs. However, the city center is itself very small and easily navigable on foot, which is the reason why Dublin is such a good place to start your exploration of Ireland.

The River Liffey flows right in the middle of the city, splitting the city in two, with the main thoroughfares dotted by shops, restaurants, churches and other attractions. Visitors often flock to Grafton Street, the most famous shopping center in Dublin and has been considered an Architectural Conservation Zone. The most expensive shopping store, Brown Thomas, can be found in Grafton Street.

Dublin will forever be associated with its pubs. No visit to the city will ever be made complete without trying the famous Irish pint or a visit to the colorful Temple Bar district, where various pubs serving food and drinks along to live music make it a popular tourist hot spot. However, if you want something cheaper, you can head over to the more traditional beer pubs that serve more of the locals. Beer is usually sold more expensively in the tourist hot spots and cheaper in the more traditional beer pubs. Traditional Irish pubs are also one of the best places to hang out after a day of sight-seeing, where you get to meet the locals and listen to traditional live music while downing a pint.

Dublin also boasts of an impressive array of food establishments to choose from, from Indian restaurants that serve authentic and vegetarian Indian cuisine to Italian delis. Cafes and gourmet burger restaurants also abound.
