Emeryville is a city located in the Alameda County of the US state of California. It sits on the corridor between Oakland and Berkley and extends to the shores of San Francisco Bay. As of the 20008 census estimate, the city has an estimated population of 9,727 people.

In the past several decades, the small city has experienced a heightened rate of growth and development owing greatly to its proximity to San Francisco Bay, Silicone Valley, Berkeley, and the University of California. Emeryville is also notable for being the home of the Pixar Animation Studios, Jamba Juice, and Peet's Coffee and Tea. Pixar is responsible for movies such as Ratatouille, Wall-E, The Incredibles, Toy Story, Cars, A Bug's Life and more. Several well known software companies have also made Emeryville their home. These companies include LeapFrog, MobiTV, Bayer, Sendmail, and Novartis. Bayer and Novartis are responsible for the production of drugs used for medical and health purposes.
