Escondido is a city that is located in Northern San Diego Country and was originally settled by the American Tribes. Spain controlled the land by the year 1700s to 1800s. It is founded in the year 1888, as one of the oldest cities in San Diego Country. The city's geography has a mild climate and diverse economy.

It comprises a population of about 128,819. It is known as Eskondiid in Diegueno. In 2005 nationwide, it is ranked as the most conservative cities in America. The place is known primarily as agricultural community growing Muscat grapes initially. It was home to a large Spanish-speaking population in the first census way back in 1850.

In education, Escondido is served by the Escondido Union School District, the Escondido Union High School District ad the San Pasqual Unified School District. The city is composed mainly of 19 elementary, five middle and seven high schools.
