Etobicoke is located on the western part of the city of Toronto in Ontario, Canada. A 2006 estimate showed that the city has a population of 334,491 people. Etobicoke is bordered by Lake Ontario to the East and Hunter River to the west. The area is perhaps most known for its small-town atmosphere and for the horse and buggy service that runs in the downtown area.

The area has the lowest population density of all the former boroughs and cities that presently make up Toronto City. Etobicoke is served by several major freeways making the city easily accessible to automobile based traffic. The area is home to many exceptions of Toronto's grid-like layout.

Numerous public parks are found in Etobicoke and these parks; especially James Gardens is a popular site fro taking wedding photographs. James Gardens is also known for its seasonal flowers, walkways, streams, rock garden and waterfall. Most of Humber Park is also located in Etobicoke.
