Great Falls is a city in Cascade County, Montana, United States populated by around 56,690 in 2000. It is the main city of the 'Great Falls, Montana Metropolitan Statistical Area. During the Lewis and Clark Expedition a series of waterfalls were discovered thus the origin of the name.
