Green Bay is a city in Wisconsin, United States. It is located at the top most of Green Bay, its namesake and a body of water which is part of the Lake Michigan. It also has a namesake in a town close by. Incidentally, the said town is within the same state of Winsconsin.
The city, Green Bay, is known for being the main city of the Green Bay Metropolitan Statistical Area. The said area covers Kewaunee, Brown, and Oconto counties with a population that reached 282,599 during its 2000 census. Green Bay is also known for being a highly industrial city with several plants set up for paper and meatpacking. Divided by Fox River, Green Bay hosts the National Railroad Museum and provides a wide array of art exhibitions as well as exhibitions on science and history.
However, it is not only the history of the city, nor its location that brings people to Green Bay. The fact that the city is the home of the Green Bay Packers, does not hurt much. The professional football team has been based in Green Bay since 1919, and has a huge fan base that reaches the whole country as well as all over the world. With the number of NFL titles the Green Bay Packers have, the city has earned another name to add to its list: "Titletown."
