Jackson Hole is a valley located in Wyoming, USA. It name was originally Jackson's Hole with the "Jackson" named after a trapper named David Edward Jackson and the "hole" is used by trappers/mountain men who had to descend to the valley through steep slopes that create the feeling of entering a hole. It is a picturesque area with mountains that provide a good backdrop for the low-lying valleys.
Jackson Hole also has rivers and streams that are home to furry animals and species of wildlife. Its climate and topography offer tourists a chance to do various activities including wildlife expeditions, raft trips, paragliding, kayaking, float trips, rafting, fishing, climbing, mountaineering, and general sightseeing.
Once a place where only trappers bother visit, Jackson Hole is now a thriving valley with constant tourist populations and a good number of year-round residents. Developments such as hotels, motels, restaurants, bars, and tour companies have also ensured that the valley retains its tourist appeal.
