Jersey City is a city in the Hudson County, in New Jersey, a state in the United States of America. As of the 2008 United States Census, Jersey City has been reported to be the state of New Jersey's second largest city after Newark. Recent developments in the area include increased shopping areas, housing though there are portion of the city that are stale due to years of commercial inactivity.

Jersey City houses the Saint Peter's College and New Jersey City University which are located in the West side district of the city. An interactive science museum and learning center called the Liberty Science Center is also in the city. It is located in the Liberty State Park and is the state's first major science museum with science exhibits, numerous educational resources, the world's largest IMAX Dome theater, and a lot more.

Jersey City also has a variety of tourist destinations that provide places to shop, a rich night life and entertainment, parks and green spaces, cultural shows and places to dine out.
