About Kingston
Kingston is a city seated in Ulster County of New York in the United States. It is around 146 km north of New York City, and 90 km south of Albany. It is situated right along the Hudson River and is the core of the New York Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Before Kingston was known by its current name, it once was called "Esopus" by the Indian tribe, Wiltwyck. It was one of three large settlements located in New Netherland, together with the Manhattans and the Beverwyck. Right after the Battle of Saratoga, the whole city was set on fire by the troops from Britain who moved up the Hudson River after doing damage in New York City.

Being a few steps above New York City, it is not a surprise how vibrant the culture is in Kingston. The city has its own local newspapers as well as radio stations with a wide array of magazines featuring the culture and spirit of those in Hudson Valley. Of course, they also have a local television station that keeps tourists and locals updated with the things happening in the city.

With the mix of culture in the city, Kingston is surely not far behind the lines of great tourism and trade.
