About Kota Kinabalu
Kota Kinabalu is formerly known as Jessolton, the capital of Sabah state in Malaysia. It is located on the northwest coast of Borneo facing the South China Sea. The National Park known as Tunku Abdul Rahman lies in one side and Mount Kinabalu gave the city its name, nearby.

The larger urban population is 7000,000 and is considered as the largest urban center in Sabah and the sixth largest in Malaysia. Kota Kinabalu is a major Tourist destination and a famous gateway for frequent travelers visiting Sabah and Borneo. It is located about 90 kilometers from the city and there are many tourist attractions in and around the city. One of these attractions includes the Sabah State Museum.

Kota Kinabalu is also one of the major industrial and commercial centers of East Malaysia. These make the city as one of the fastest growing cities in Malaysia. Typically, Kota Kinabalu experiences equatorial climate with constant temperature, considerable rain and high humidity. The city plays an important role in political and economic contributions and welfare of the population in the entire state. It is noted as the seat of the state government.
