Kowloon is a highly urbanized area in Hong Kong and is made up of New Kowloon and the Kowloon Peninsula. The term Kowloon means nine dragons in Chinese. The city generally lacks the glamour of the Hong Kong Island but it makes for it by the distinct and unmatched Chinese vibrancy of the area. Kowloon is one of world's most densely populated cities and has a wide array of places to eat, sleep and shop.

One of the must-see sights of Kowloon is the Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple which is the most popular Taoist temple in the island. Other places to visit also include the Kowloon Walled City Park, the Ocean Terminal which is home to several cruise ships, the Kowloon Waterfront where a spectacular view of the Hong Kong shoreline and skyline can be seen and the Symphony of Lights where every night, a light show in the island's key buildings is shown.
