About Lake Geneva
Lake Geneva is a city in Wisconsin, USA; it belongs to Walworth County and is situated on Geneva Lake. It is a popular tourist destination especially from those in the Milwaukee and Chicago metropolitan areas. It also known as the "Newport of the West" in the 1920s but is now called as the "Hamptons of the Midwest". It has a total area of 5.8 sq mi - 0.8 sq mi of which is comprised of water.

"Geneva" was used to name the town and the lake that John Brink, an early settler, gave due to its resemblance to Seneca Lake and Geneva, New York. Later, the town was renamed "Lake Geneva" to distinguish it from Geneva Illinois and the lake named "Geneva Lake" or "Lake Geneva". Although the lake's name is interchangeable, the city's is not.

Points of interest in Lake Geneva include hot air balloon cruises, the Geneva National Golf Club, Geneva Lake Area Museum of History, and the lake itself.
