About Lake Havasu City
Lake Havasu City, located in Mohave County, is part of the Arizona, United State of America. According to a 2006 US Census estimate, the city is said to have a population of 56,355 people. The city was founded in 1964 and is named after Lake Havasu.

A popular tourist attraction in Lake Havasu City is the bridge known as the London Bridge. It crosses an 8 feet deep manmade canal, which leads from Lake Havasu on to Thompson Bay. It is called so because it was purchased from the City of London for US $2.5 Million. The bridge opened to traffic in 1971. Building it in Lake Havasu City entailed that it be deconstructed in London City, shipped to Lake Havasu and reconstructed for an additional cost of $7 Million.

The city is a popular Spring Break destination among the college crowd in the US. Summer brings in boaters to the city. The months between March and September are the most popular months as they are called the boating months in this city.
