Lethbridge is a city in Alberta, Canada. It is located near the Canadian Rockies which give the city a windy climate with cool summers and mild winters. It is a relatively large city - it is the largest in southern Alberta and fourth largest in terms of population. It is also considered the center of transportation, finance, industry, and commerce in southern Alberta.
The economy of Lethbridge started with coal mining which later gave way to agriculture. Modern developments advanced the city from being agricultural to highly urban. The city is very accessible owing the many Greyhound buses that ply its routes and the developed provincial highways, airport, and rail service.
Attractions in Lethbridge include the Lethbridge Viaduct (High Level Bridge), Indian Battle Park, Fort Whoop-Up Interpretive Centre, Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden, Galt Museum and Archives, and the Helen Schuler Coulee Centre. Visitors can go for sightseeing walks around the many trails and parks in the city.
