Miami Beach is a city in Florida which belongs under the Miami-Dade County. It is renowned for its beaches and often called simply as "Miami" but is, in reality, a separate city from Miami. The weather in this city is tropical - plus, with 62.37% of its area comprised of water, it is no wonder that this city has been, for almost a century, one of America's most popular beaches. Miami Beach has been featured in several films and TV shows which helped make the area both highly commercialized and popular. Sadly, crime rate is very high in this area; in fact, the city belongs under the most dangerous small cities according to the 2008 Morgan Quitno Awards.

The most popular part of the city is South Beach (SoBe) which is often simply called as "The Beach" and encompasses the area between 1st and 25th streets. Certain portions, called "clothing optional" beaches, of SoBe are legally allocated for topless or nude bathers.

Aside from the beach, there are also several places of interest in the city. These areas include the Flagler Monument Island, Holocaust Memorial, Ocean Drive, Miami Beach Botanical Gardens, Lincoln Road, and beautiful hotels and mansions.
