Middletown is situated in Newport County, Rhode Island, USA. It was named for its central location in the island. It lies between Narragansett Bay and the Sakonnet River on the Aquidneck Island. According to the US Census Bureau, it has total land area of 38.7 square kilometers.
The town is not only known as the farming community of the island, it has best beaches too. One famous significant site is the White Hall Museum House or Berkeley House, a notable farmhouse built in early 18th century.
