In 1906, Newport Beach is a city in Orange Country California, US; south of downtown Santa Ana. The city ranked first as one of the wealthiest communities in the United States. The Vaquero made its first excursion to a marshy lagoon for trading Ranch owner in the Lower Bay, and from then on, they decided to give a name on that area called Newport.
When the Pacific Electric Railroad established a southern terminus in Newport connecting the beach with downtown Los Angeles, the development in the city increased. With a population of 206 in citizen in 1906, the scattered settlements were assimilated as the City of Newport Beach grew.
The city has a Mediterranean climate. Like many other costal cities in Los Angeles, Newport Beach shows a strong climate variation to inland cities. Pacific Ocean greatly moderates the city's climate warming winter temperatures and summer temperatures. There are only little variations between season and high and monthly low temperatures.
