Newport is a city in Lincoln County, Oregon, United States and it incorporated in 1882. Estimate of its population as of 2006 is around 10,240 residents and with a total land area of 10.4 square miles (27.0 km²). This is also the center of administration of Lincoln County.

Guest and locals alike can enjoy places like the Oregon Coast Aquarium, Nye Beach, Yaquina Head Lighthouse, and Rogue Ales.

In 1987, Newport's Oregon Coast Community College started. Other educational institutions also abound the area like the Lincoln County School District, Newport High School, Newport Middle School, Sam Case Elementary School, and Yaquina View Elementary School.
