About Palm Beach
Palm Beach, also called Palm Beach Island or the Island of Palm Beach, is an incorporated town located in Palm Beach County in the US state of Florida. The town has a motto stating 'The Best of Everything'. It was incorporated in 1911 and today, it is known for its upscale atmosphere and neighborhoods. In 2004, it was estimated that Palm Beach has an estimated population of 9,860, which is a smaller number compared to the year 2000 count that was 10,468. The city, however, enjoys a seasonal population or around 30,000.

The town island was established by Henry Morrison Flagler; he designed it to be accessible to his Florida East Coast Railway. Flagler was also instrumental in establishing what is now known as the Palm Beach 'winter season'

Palm Beach and the rest of Florida enjoy a tropical climate and the town in is the easternmost town in Florida. It serves as a barrier island and is around 16 miles long. From May to October, the town experiences a wet season where the temperature ranges from highs of 90 F to lows of 70F. The wet season is also marked by afternoon thunderstorms. From November to April, the weather in Palm Beach is generally drier with highs of 82 F and lows of 57 F. It is usually Palm Beach's dry season that attract tourists who are escaping the cold.

Amtrak as well as the Palm Beach International Airport and Tri-Rail serve the city. Buses and taxis also serve the town. Points of interest within the town include Breakers Hotel and Four Arts Gardens.
