Palm Desert is a city that is located in the desert area of California. It is situated between Indio and Palm Springs and lies in the Coachella Valley. Palm Desert is the home to several attractions, luxury shops, fancy hotels, golf courses and spas and is considered to be one of the most famous tourist destinations in the Southern California region. More than half of the population of Palm City is composed of aging baby boomers.

Palm Desert is the home of the Palm Desert Civic Center which is a beautiful park where basketball courts are found. The park is also the location of occasional musical events and has generally a nice atmosphere. Palm Desert also houses the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens where desert plans and animals are featured.
