Paradise Island is located in the Bahamas and is popularly associated with Nassau. It was previously known as Hog Island. It was renamed and was widely developed as a gambling resort and tourist area by Huntington Hatford. Several clubs, the Golf Course, and several island landmarks were created by Hatford through the Palm Beach architect, John Volk.
Paradise Island is renowned for Atlantis, a large resort known for being the "Vegas by the Sea". It is also renowned for having one of the most expensive hotel accommodations in the world with the Bridge Suite of the Royal Towers. The island also has other popular resorts and attractions - Paradise Island Harbour Resort, Paradise Harbour Club and Marina, and water activities such as boating, cruising, and swimming with dolphins. Several movies and TV shows were filmed on Paradise Island; these include Casino Royale, Thunderball, and Friends.
