About Plano
Plano, a city in northern Texas, USA is located northeast of Dallas and mainly within Collin County. It has been rated as the wealthiest city in the United States by the United States Census Bureau in 2008, same year Forbes.com chose it as one of the three in Dallas together with University Park and Highland Park as "Top Suburbs to Live Well". Originally intended to be named after President Millard Fillmore, Plano's name came from its local resident who thought that Plano was the Spanish of the word Flat.

Plano is the home of offices of many nationwide companies like Frito-Lay, JC Penney, and EDS.

Plano has lots to offer for its visitors to see and explore. As a "home of arts" in Plano, ArtCentre Theatre showcases displays for local artists and national shows. The Interurban Railway Station Museum brings back to life Plano's transportation as this is one of the original electric cars that ran on the tracks through Plano. The Southfork Ranch with its infamous Texas ranchers, the Heritage Farmstead which is a four-acre museum that preserves a way of life during the heart of farm prosperity in the early 1900s, the Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary which is a 289-acre outdoor preserve and nature museum with different species of birds, insects and animals, the Chase Oaks Golf Club which was the finest public facilities in US, and the famous EDS Plano Balloon Festival which is a three-day event are only some of the reasons why Plano should be visited.
