About Primm
Primm is a town in Clark County, Nevada and us often referred to as 'Primm Valley'. Interstate 15 passes through Primm and crosses the state border into California. The economy of Primm is heavily based on the three casinos located in the area. The casinos attract both local and South Californian tourists. The casinos here are seen as a stop on the way to Las Vegas or as a last chance to gamble before leaving Nevada. Primm's hotels also serve as reliever hotels when Las Vegas hosts a major event. The 2000 census designated Primm with a resident population of 436.

Attractions in Primm include the three casinos Buffalo Bills, Primm Valley Resort, and Whiskey Pete's. The city is also home to a large outlet mall the Fashion Outlets of Las Vegas. Visitors will also find gas stations and restaurants. The area where Primm is located was once referred to as Stateline Nevada and Jean Nevada.

The town was given its official name in the 1990s in order to avoid confusion with the actual state line. It was named after a casino owner named Ernest Jay Primm. In 2004, the town was the end location for the DARPA Grand Challenge, which was run around the desert surrounding the area. The $2 Million price was won by the team from Stanford University. in 1997, the World's Strongest Man Competition was also held in the town.

The proposed California-Nevada Interstate Maglev project is proposed to pass through the town. There are also plans of constructing a new Nevada airport just north of Primm.
