Punta Cana is a municipal district in La Altagracia, located in the easternmost province of the Dominican Republic. It is known for its beaches that face the Caribbean Sea.

It houses the Dolphin Island, which is created for tourists to swim with trained dolphins, the Manati Park Bavaro, which exhibits varieties of birds, reptiles and fishes and holds shows featuring parrots, dolphins and dancing horses, and the Punta Cana Ecological Reserve, which offers a walk on a real jungle and cool spring bath.

The city's main attraction is its Basilica, which honors the patron saint of Dominican Republic, the Virgen la Altagracia.
