About Regina
Regina is the capital and the 2nd largest city of Saskatchewan. It is also the 16th largest city in Canada. In 2006, it has a population of 194,971, according to Statistics Canada. It is the center of commerce and culture not only for southern Saskatchewan but also to its nearby American cities: the North Dakota and Montana. In 1882, the city was named after Queen Victoria of England specifically Victoria Regina, by her loving daughter Princess Louise.

Regina is considered as the sunniest capital city of Canada. Its summer temperature averages to 23 degrees Celsius. During winter its temperature averages to -11 degrees Celsius.

The city has been acknowledged several times as one of the most affordable places to venture business in western North America. Its economy is fuelled by agriculture, oil and gas production and development and telecommunications.

Regina is a lovely city with more than 350,000 hand-planted trees and has several tourist attractions, some of them are: the Saskatchewan Science Centre, Royal Saskatchewan Museum, Norman Mackenzie Art Gallery, Evraz Place and the Roman Catholic cathedral and the Saskatchewan Centre of the Arts.
