Riverside is one of the large cities located in Riverside County in Southern California. It is considered the hub of regional transportation and commerce. Riverside is a city with a fascinating past, a bright future and is always a good place to visit.

The downtown area of Riverside houses four notable museums. The Riverside Metropolitan Museum has various exhibits on many topics which mostly cover local history, culture and geography. It is free but accepts donations as an entrance fee. There is also the Riverside Art Museum which features the works of local artists and students from the University of California-Riverside. The other two museums are the Mission inn Museum and the UCR-California Museum of Photography.

Riverside is the home to a local amusement park called Castle Park. The park houses a small roller coaster as well as numerous rides, miniature golf course and an arcade. Hiking and biking can also be enjoyed in the Box Springs Mountain Preserve in Riverside. The Box Springs Mountain Preserve is a large open area with trailheads and is located at the north of the city.
