Santa Ana is the most populous city in Orange County in the US state of California. It is also serves as the county seat of Orange County. As of a 2008 estimate, there are around 353,184 people in Santa Ana. The city is located in South California and it sits on the Santa Ana Riviera. It is also a part of the Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Santa Ana metropolitan area, which is the second largest metropolitan area in the US.
The city is served by the Santa Ana Freeway and is located close to the Santa Ana Mountains. The city also lends its name to the Santa Ana Winds or the Santa Ana's, which is known to seasonally pass through Southern California causing wildfires.
Notable locations in the city include the Riverview Golf Course, the Ronald Regan Federal Courthouse, Howe-Waffle House, the Bowers Museum of Cultural Art, the Orange County Museum, and the Discover Museum of Orange County.
