Scarborough is a city located in the southern part of Ontario, Canada. The diverse population of about 600,000 residents and the beauty of the Scarborough bluffs make the city a unique landscape of culture and geography.

It was the bluffs, the white sandy cliffs facing Lake Ontario that prompted the region to be named "Scarborough" by Elizabeth Simcoe, the wife of John Graves Simcoe, who served as among the first lieutenant governors in Canada. Looking at the cliffs, Elizabeth was reminded by their striking similarity with England's very own Scarborough bluffs.

Famous comedians like Mike Myers, Jim Carrie and Eric McCormack grew up in the city, as well as talented musicians like the band Barenaked Ladies. More than half of the population in Scarborough is born outside of Canada.
