Sevierville is a city in Tennessee, USA and the county seat of Sevier County. It has a total area of 51.8 km2 with only 0.3 km2 of it comprised of water. It is located between the Tennessee Valley and the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. The Little Pigeon River passes through the city.
Because of its hilly terrain, waters, riverside, and the opening of the Great Smoky Mountains, the city is a popular tourist destination with over 2000 motel and hotel rooms. However, even with tourist revenues, the local industry still occupies about 20% in its economy. There are also several industries that remain in the city, one of which is Ten Tec (creates amateur radio equipment). Several schools - elementary to college - serve the city; these include the satellite campus of Sevier County, Walters State Community College
Popular tourist attractions in Sevierville include the Tennessee Museum of Aviation, Burchfield Grove Memorial Arboretum, Buckingham House, Brabson's Ferry Plantation, New Salem Baptist Church, Harrisburg Covered Bridge, Wheatlands, Rose Glen and the Sevierville Commercial District.
