Topping the rocky cliffs close to the end of its peninsula, Sorrento is a small city in Campania, Southern Italy. It overlooks the bay of Naples.

Sorrento is famous for its big lemons and the "Limoncello", a very tasty liqueur made from lemon rinds. Some products include lemon chocolate, colorful ceramic articles with lemon motifs and lemon soap. Wood craftsmanship like the pictures in inlaid woods is popular here and is sold at the shops. There are also over 70 different ice cream flavors at the Gelateria Bougainvillea that should be tried and the weekly market on Tuesdays can have real bargains.

Sorrento held party all-year long with plenty of local traditions. Some of these are the Carnival, the Easter procession that crosses all peninsulas, and feasts cheered up by the Sorrento ancient folkloristic dance "tarantella".

The local cooking should also not be missed which is famous around the world.

Sorrento is also not behind in terms of accommodations, culture, and music with its comfortable hotels, museum Correale of Terranova, and events like Sorrentine Summer Musical Festival and International Film Festival.
