Southampton is the largest city in Hampshire, located on the south coast of England. The city is the closest city to the New Forest and is considered a major port in the country. It is also the home of Spitfire, the RMS Titanic and a number of some of the largest cruise ships that currently sail in the world.
Southampton contains England's second longest medieval walls that are still standing. It is also home to a number of museums such as The Maritime Museum, the Tudor House and the Solent Sky which features aviation-related objects. During September, the annual Southampton Boat Show is held with as many as over 600 exhibitors participating.
There are many music venues in the city that played hosts to many big music artists from the UK and around the world. Some of these venues include The Brook, the Soul Cellar, The Joiners and the Turner Sims Concert Hall. There are also a number of good pubs located in the center of the city as well as excellent restaurants.
