St Thomas, also spelled Saint Thomas, is an island in the Caribbean that's an unincorporated territory of the United States of America. It is a district of the US Virgin Islands and has a population of over 51,000m, accounting for 47% of the total USVI population. The port of Charlotte Amalie is the territorial capital of St Thomas.

The island is serviced by the 'Cyril E. King' airport and it is the only place under the jurisdiction of the United States where the rule of the road is to drive on the left. The open air buses, also known as a 'dollar bus' is another means of transportation in St Thomas and it is the cheapest way to navigate the island. Passengers and cars may also be ferried to the neighboring islands such as St John and St Croix.

The joint district of St Thomas and St John operate the public school programs in the island. Privately run schools in the island include the Antilles School and the Montessori School. The University of the Virgin Islands provides tertiary education in the island.

Many notable persons have their roots in St Thomas, including boxing champion Julian Jackson and actor Kelsey Grammer.
